WHY JOIN OUR BEGINNERS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP?
Photography has several therapeutic benefits linked to our mental health.
This workshop offers a safe place where you can escape from the stresses of everyday life. The camera offers a chance to reset your state of mind, giving a much-needed break from the world enlightening your mood. Being around like-minded photographers, in nature, gives you the opportunity to showcase your creativity, allowing you to detach yourself from your responsibilities. The workshop delivers not only technical knowledge but also gives you the chance to photograph new locations, in a safe environment, at a fun social event.
WHAT HAPPENS ON A PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP?
Firstly we’ll meet at the Newby Hall Entrance Pavilion at 9.30am for tea / coffee & biscuits. Stu is usually there a few minutes before, he will have your £8 restaurant voucher to give to you. He will make sure you have all the equipment you need and you’ll receive your workshop booklet full of all the information you need. You then spend a little time going through the information. Then the group will head out into Newby Hall’s Award Winning Gardens to put into practice what you have just discussed. Once the workshop draws to a close Stu loves to end it with general chat and coffee, cake if you are lucky. They are a lovely relaxed, social event that are fun to attend.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR A PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP?
Well, we can start off with yourself, then a camera. An SLR is ideal, but any camera will do. Then you need to make sure you have suitable clothing and footwear for going round the Newby Hall Gardens.
